How BytesLearning handles your data
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
BytesLearning (byteslearning.com) is a private exam-preparation platform. Accounts are created manually by an administrator; there is no public sign-up. Contact: byteslearning51@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Learning activity: quiz attempts, answers, time spent per question, bookmarks and issue reports you submit.
- Security events: sign-in attempts (successful, failed, locked), password changes and administrative actions, together with the IP address and approximate location (city / region / country) derived from the request.
Why we collect it
Learning activity powers your readiness analytics. Security events protect your account from unauthorised access and let administrators investigate suspicious activity. We do not sell data, show advertising, or use third-party analytics trackers.
Third parties
The site runs on Vercel (hosting) with a Neon PostgreSQL database. Cloudflare Turnstile protects sign-in forms from bots. Transactional email (invitations, password resets) is sent via Gmail. Each processes only what is needed to provide the service.
Retention and your rights
Security logs are retained for up to 12 months. Learning data is kept while your account exists. You can view and update your name from your account page. To request a copy of your data or to have your account removed, email byteslearning51@gmail.com.
Cookies
We use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, plus Cloudflare Turnstile's cookie on sign-in pages. No marketing cookies.
